I grew up in Italy, cradled by the Adriatic Sea and the Dolomites that define the border between Italy and Austria. I believe that healing comes from eating local foods, as close to the source as possible, that are attuned to the foods of our ancestors.

After a decade of healing from chronic parasites, anxiety and depression, an eating disorder, infertility, and food allergies, I healed myself with food as medicine. 

I am now in service to the foods and plants that healed me. I want to share their wisdom with you.

When we work together, you will learn how to use food to heal common dis-eases, from the cold and flu to indigestion and constipation. I work to make myself obsolete so that you hold the nutrition knowledge necessary to heal yourself and be well. I am a Registered Health Coach and Nutritionist (RHCN) as well as an herbalist, translator, poet and parent. My work is trauma-informed because we all experience trauma in our lives. Trauma affects how we relate to food and eating.

I am passionate about food sovereignty, which is "the right of peoples to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food and agriculture systems". As a white woman with a great deal of privilege, I strive to do work that centers people of color and holds space for the leadership of those most affected by lack of access to food.

Food sovereignty holds space for all people to gain control of their nourishment. When we stop letting corporations make our food choices for us, we work towards the collective liberation of all people so that all people may have equal access to food.

I offer consulting, training, and curriculum development on equity and inclusion in the food system. I work with research and story-based strategy that centers the power and dignity of underrepresented communities. I collaborate with groups, businesses, organizations and institutions that are passionate about developing tools and capacity to promote equity and inclusion.

EXPERIENCE

I am a Board Certified Nutritionist (BCHN), Registered Health Coach (RHCN), herbalist, and intuitive eating guide who strives to be trauma-informed. I have been a nutrition clinician and educator for almost two decades.

I am trained in the wisdom traditions of European Herbalism, Ayurveda, Macrobiotics, Mindful Eating, and Chinese Five Element Theory to offer a comprehensive, universal view of food as medicine. I stay attuned to nutrition and diet trends to better support you and answer questions. 

I chair the Food Justice Task Force for Vermont's Farm to Plate Network and am on the Network Steering Committee. I serve on the Network Team for Food Solutions New England, a regional food systems network with racial equity as its platform.

I am an ally and organizer for the International Food Sovereignty Alliance. I collaborate with a consensus-based group to organize and host our annual regional assembly.

I am certified in Sustainable Food Systems through the University of Vermont and continue attending courses on Mindful EatingMind-Body Healing and Culinary Medicine. I am a member of Food Tank and Slow Food.

I work with those who need support in healing from chronic conditions such as parasites, Crohn's Disease, Celiac Disease, Colitis, IBS, diverticulitis, anxiety / depression, disordered eating, hypothyroid, and auto-immune disease. 

I work with people through conception, pregnancy and post-partum time to gain the support they need to thrive as a family.
